Unfortunalty, the following was ommited from the newsletter:

CMP matches at Beloit Rifle Club now include “other rifle” so you may bring your AR-15 if you like. CMP fees are $10.00 for members, $15.00 for non-members and $5.00 for juniors (under 18).  Achievement pins will be awarded to shooters who equal or exceed the award scores listed in the CMP Competition Rules.  Scores are calculated so that the top one sixth of the top 40 percent receive gold, the next two-sixths receive silver and the remaining three-sixths receive bronze.  The ranking scores for 2008 are as follows: Gold- 463 or over out of a possible 500; Silver 452-462 and Bronze 432-451.

Ø     Open to all Beloit Rifle Club members as well as non-members

Ø     4 club M1 rifles available – first call first served

 

Location: 899 Philhower Rd., Beloit, which is south of both Avalon Road and Townline Road.  Philhower intersects Highway 51 on the west and Prairie Avenue

(County Road G) on the east.

 Course of Fire: John C. Garand Course B at 100 yards with reduced targets.

1)     Slow fire prone (20 rounds in 20 minutes)

2)     Rapid fire, standing to prone (10 rounds in 70 seconds)

3)     Rapid fire, standing to sitting (10 rounds in 60 seconds)

4)     Slow fire, standing (10 rounds in 10 minutes)

 Fees:

·       $10 per match for Beloit Rifle Club members

·       $15 per match for non-members

·       $5 per match for juniors   

·       $20 ammo charge (30.06 Greek) for 60 rounds.

 Time and location:

Sunday mornings at the Beloit Rifle Club. Check in begins 7:00 A.M.  First relay begins at 8:00 A.M.
