Our outdoor 2012 Small Bore (Rimfire) Silhouette Season begins on Thursday, May 3, at 5PM. We will have regular Thursday night NRA matches through September 27th, 2012

We are also having once a month Saturday matches which are scheduled for 5/19, 6/30, 7/28, and 9/29. The State NRA Metallic Silhouette Match will be held at the Beloit Rifle Club on August 25th. Sight in time for all matches including the state match will be from 8am-10am with the match starting at 10:00 AM.

Fee for our monthly Saturday matches for Hunter and Heavy Class will be $10.00 each. Seniors – $5.00 each class. Pins will be awarded.

To qualify for Hunter class, .22 rifle with or w/o scope can not weigh more than 8-1/2 pounds. Trigger weight pull cannot be less than 2 pounds. .22 ammunition must be store purchased with high velocity[HV] max rating.

Our gates are open to the public at above dates and times. Everyone is invited for loads of fun. Safety is NBR 1 at our club.

NRA Small Bore Metallic Silhouette at our club is off hand rifle shooting. The distances we shoot are 40, 60, 77 and 100 meters. At 40 meters the metal objects are Chickens, 60 meters we have Pigs, 77 meters are Turkeys, and 100 meters we have the Rams. One has 10 shots at each bank of ten animals to knock over 10 animals at each distance. A perfect score would be 40 out of 40.

We have several classifications of shooters depending on their ability. Small Bore Hunter rifle weight with optional any power scope may not exceed 8-1/2 lbs with trigger pull of not less than 2 pounds and use factory load ammo. Standard class rifle weight with scope is 10lbs, 2oz maximum with any trigger pull weight. Any Hunter Class rifle shooter can also participate in the Standard Class

Class B 0-14 out of 40 shots
Class A 15-19 out of 40 shots
Class AA 20-25 out of 40 shots
Class AAA 26-31 out of 40 shots
Master 32-40 out of 40 shots

These are some of the basic rules. We invite all to come out to see us shoot on Thursday evenings at 5pm and any of us will be more than happy to answer any questions and let you shoot our rifles. Bring your .22 rifle with you and join in the FUN! All of our scheduled shooting dates are NRA sanctioned, including our Saturday dates. Check our club calendar for Silhouette dates.

We also shoot winter indoor paper at 50 feet January thru April every Monday eve, on your own time, from 5:00ish to 6:30ish. This is for pratice and fun. Bring any .22 rifle and join us.
